Hi there! I'm a marketing and communications pro based in Portland, Oregon.
I have over a decade of experience telling stories that resonate with audiences, and I excel at weaving threads of data, anecdotes and trends into a compelling narrative.
I’m currently a strategic communications program manager at JLA Public Involvement, a public engagement firm that works with public entities on infrastructure projects. I lead marketing and communications for a number of projects in Oregon and Southwest Washington, including fire and police station replacement efforts, community transportation planning and wastewater district communications. I spend most of my time on the Hood River-White Salmon Replacement Project, the effort to build a new interstate bridge. For that project, I’ve worked with government officials and the project’s government relations team to build a respected brand for a new government agency and raise funding for the project.
In my previous role as marketing and communications manager for Greater Portland Inc, the region’s economic development organization, I marketed the region to the world as a great place to do business. Prior to that, I worked as a reporter for The Oregonian covering everything from statewide corporate tax reform efforts to a Beaverton girl’s fight to access life-saving experimental treatment.
